I was one of the foolish people ...Amen, Stephen T.

I was one of the foolish people who, during the 1992 election cycle, thought the economy was the important issue.

I was wrong.

When we trivialized human life, we lost our collective soul.

How can we as a country profess to be the "protector" and "peacekeeper" of the world when we do not protect our own?

This issue is so polarizing and divisive, yet really, when you get through all the rhetoric, is about convenience.

Society would rather abort an unwanted child after the fact than let a little personal responsibility or restrain hinder the "passion of the moment."

Yet, murder and theft are also crimes of passion. Once we allowed one passion to govern our society, was it a surprise that the others grew in the wake of lack of restraint?

The other dividing emotion on this issue is about control-a man deciding what a woman can do with her body.

Most women I know would never consider an abortion, so I ask you, what right are you defending?

You can talk about violence in films and the lyrics in rap music, but legal abortion was the catalyst that cheapened the value of human life in the last forty years.

Legal abortion was the biggest mistake of the seventies. The only thing it has done is made it possible to compare the United States with Nazi Germany. And Planned Parenthood clinics are our versions of Auschwitz.

God help us.

And I have not even ordered the book yet (but it just made my reading list).DiscConnectedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07013919800637508392noreply@blogger.com
