LAST BIT ON THE PRESIDENTIAL PU-PU PLATTER

The trouble is with my osmanthus and I’ve been on medication for years; I have to take six round pills a day that are this color.

Well, the day before yesterday, I was at my doctor’s office for my osmanthus checkup and while I was in the waiting room… waiting… I picked up a magazine amongst a pile of publications. I wasn’t familiar with the magazine but the cover story was about the financial meltdown in this country, so I thought: Well, here’s something cheerful to take my mind off my osmanthus problem. I didn’t get very far into The Philadelphia Trumpet article before I realized I was reading a Christian publication. Well, to my surprise, the article was very well-written and thoughtful, and to my even greater surprise, I found that the subscription price is… $FR.EE. Ahhh, my favorite price, especially in these economically turbulent times.

Normally, one gets what they pay for, so ten issues a year of The Philadelphia Trumpet for the steep price of $FR.EE might leave one suspecting that there won’t be much of value found in this magazine, but so far anyway, the old adage seems to be unfounded. I’ve been very impressed with what I’ve read up to this point. The writings appear to be essentially based upon the Biblical interpretations of someone named Herbert W. Armstrong. Now I’m not familiar with this Armstrong fellow (he may have passed on earlier) and I might, with future reading, determine that he and his followers at The Philadelphia Trumpet are all full of curry meringue, but what I’ve read up to now seems well-researched and at least worth considering.

In this 2008 November-December issue they have an article that I find very much reflects my own outlook on the so-called “conservative Christian credentials” of the Republican party and their savior wannabe, Sarah Palin. (I won't soon forget her vice presidential debate in which she said we need to "ramp up" the federal education system, and shortly afterwards, made some statement about our need to respect the U.S. Constitution. Uh... Helllllooooo! Didn't anyone else catch that contradiction? Oh, wait! That's right - Americans know so little about their Constitution that they don't even realize that the federal education system is constitutionally ILLEGAL! And I guess the "conservative" Sarah Palin forgot that fact while in the heat of battle with Biden.) Anyway, I’m going to post The Trumpet article here, and below that, I’m posting links to all of the Blog Bits that I myself have written regarding this 2008 presidential election, just to collect them all in one location. So, read on, Dear Reader, read on:

THE POLITICS OF FAMILY VALUES
By Stephen Flurry for “The Trumpet”

Guess who’s the most conservative of the four major candidates vying for presidential offices in the White House this winter? It’s the one who eloped with her high school sweetheart in 1988, who gave birth to her first son eight months later. It’s the one with a 17-year-old daughter who is pregnant and unmarried. It’s the career woman who resumed working at the office just three days after the birth of her fifth child—a Down syndrome baby.

Despite these decidedly untraditional “conservative” values, soon after Sarah Palin was introduced as John McCain’s running mate, the Republican base whipped into an excited frenzy that showed no abatement even as she paraded her dysfunctional family across the center of America’s grandest political stage.

Looking for Real

“People are looking for real,” Republican governor of South Carolina Mark Sanford told the New York Times after news broke that Palin’s daughter was pregnant. “Real means blemishes, real means warts, real means real. These family imperfections make people say, That family isn’t so different from my family” (September 1; emphasis mine throughout).

“If anything, this is a reminder that Sarah Palin is a real person who has the same experiences that regular Americans do,” chimed in Fergus Cullen, the New Hampshire Republican chairman.

Even conservative stalwart James Dobson, who refused to vote for McCain and then changed his mind after he chose Palin, defended the teen pregnancy revelation this way: “[A]ll it really means is that she and her family are human.” Dobson congratulated Palin for “not just talking about their pro-life and pro-family values, but living them out even in the midst of trying circumstances” (ibid.).

But should the Palin family really be held up as a proper role model for family living? Of course every family has its blemishes. But unless we correct those mistakes and flaws, history will simply repeat itself.

Mommy Migration

Over the past 50 years, the number of hours married women spend working outside the home has tripled. And having small children at home has not deterred women from continuing their out-of-home careers. In fact, seven out of ten married women with children under the age of 6 are employed. While this figure includes those who work part-time, the overall trend clearly points to this radical transformation in the mother’s role over the last half century: Caring for children while dad is at work is no longer the primary responsibility for most mothers.

That in turn has left many of our children at home alone, without supervision. And unsupervised teens are much more likely to struggle at school, abuse alcohol, take drugs, view pornography and engage in premarital sex. According to a study published by Pediatrics in December 2002, among sexually active teenage boys, 91 percent said their last sexual encounter was in a home setting and that it was usually after school. The study noted, “Youths who were unsupervised for 30 or more hours per week were more likely to be sexually active compared with those who were unsupervised for 5 hours a week or less.”

Today, the United States has the largest teenage birthrate in the industrialized world: Some 500,000 babies are born to teenage girls every year. Most fathers are long gone by the time the baby arrives. Only one third of teen moms will ever finish high school. And nearly 80 percent will end up on welfare.

And yet, incredibly, since the Palin selection, conservatives have done everything possible to put a positive spin on the epidemic of teen sex and one of its many devastating kickbacks—unwanted pregnancies. Bristol, after all, is supposedly planning to marry the father. And more importantly, she has decided not to have an abortion.

“We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents,” Sarah and Todd Palin said in a statement. “Conservatives” responded as though having the baby is all that’s necessary to value family life. Sarah Palin is a staunch pro-lifer, you see, which automatically qualifies her as the most conservative politician on either ticket.

When asked if Palin could handle the demands of the vice presidency in addition to her responsibilities at home, John McCain’s chief strategist dismissed the question by saying, “I can’t imagine that question being asked of a man.”

To even ask the question is now seen as sexist. And this is supposed to be the party that values family life. Apparently, the only traditional value left on the “conservative” platform is the pro-life position.

The right’s widespread acceptance of Palin as the next vice president actually signals defeat on the “working mom” battleground of the culture wars. As Ellen Goodman pointed out in a September 12 Boston Globe column, “Palin has made it politically incorrect to criticize working mothers. They are the demilitarized zone of the cultural battleground.”

Defeat in a Culture War

Goodman compared statements made by influential conservatives before and after Palin was added to the McCain ticket. They are quite revealing. James Dobson, for example, at one time largely attributed society’s breakdown in the family to “working mothers.” He now says, “I believe Sarah Palin is God’s answer.”

Phyllis Schlafly once said the “flight from home is a flight from yourself, from responsibility, from the nature of woman.” As Goodman noted, Schlafly now says, “I think a hardworking, well-organized ceo type can handle it very well.”

Another telling comparison: At the 1992 Republican convention, Vice President Dan Quayle’s wife, Marilyn, said during her televised speech, “Most women do not wish to be liberated from their essential natures as women. Most of us love being mothers or wives, which gives our lives a richness that few men or women get from professional accomplishments alone.” Stopping just short of calling “women’s liberation” a complete flop, Mrs. Quayle added, “Not everyone believed that the family was so oppressive that women could only thrive apart from it.”

Not surprisingly, Hillary Clinton called Quayle’s comments “an insult to today’s modern women.”

Sarah Palin is no Marilyn Quayle. “To any critics who say a woman can’t think and work and carry a baby at the same time, I’d just like to escort that Neanderthal back to the cave,” Palin told the Anchorage Daily News back in March when she revealed that she was seven months pregnant while still clocking in at the governor’s mansion every day (March 6).

The Left’s Sudden Embrace of Morality

Meanwhile, at the other end of the political spectrum, in a cynical attempt to score political points, the liberal intelligentsia became suddenly aware of—and gravely concerned about—the problems of promiscuous sex, teen pregnancy and the plight of working moms!

The New York Times—ever one to champion the role of motherhood above one’s career—said that many women greeted the news of Palin’s appointment with “incredulity.” The Times intoned, “Infants with Down syndrome often need special care in the first years of life: extra tests, physical therapy, even surgery” (September 1). The left-wing trendsetter also criticized Palin for accepting the vice presidential position since she knew in advance that it would immediately move her pregnant daughter under the intense glare of public scrutiny.

The Times also ran two front-page stories about the Bristol Palin pregnancy and implied that her mother should have never been given the nod when it reported that John McCain’s camp mistakenly failed to properly vet Palin before her appointment.

Yes, these same voices that have for decades urged mothers to abandon children for their careers, applauded women who choose single motherhood over marriage and that encouraged teenage sex so long as it’s “safe,” now all of a sudden are concerned about Sarah Palin’s family background.

Where have these warnings been the last 20 years even as the promiscuous sex they actively promote has brought about the rampant and deadly spread, primarily within the youth demographic, of sexually transmitted diseases?

stds kill people by the thousands every year, but this dangerous threat is largely unrecognized by the general public because it is ignored by educators, politicians and even health-care professionals. Many of them even put a positive spin on the plague by dishonestly pointing to the modest decline in the teen birthrate as surefire proof that contraceptives guarantee a safe and healthy lifestyle.

It’s no wonder the Democrats have found it so difficult to counterpunch John McCain’s appointment of Palin.

A Prophecy Fulfilled

Yes, both sides of the political aisle have their distorted views about family values. Meanwhile, the basic building block of a strong and stable society—the traditional family—continues to crumble.

Everything in our modern-day dysfunctional society is exactly as the Prophet Isaiah said it would be: upside down. This fact can mean only one thing, Herbert W. Armstrong wrote in his 1981 book The Missing Dimension In Sex:

“[C]ivilization as we know it is on the way down—and out—unless that great ‘Unseen Strong Hand From Someplace’ soon intervenes and saves today’s sick society.”

America’s Next President Will Be In Over His Head

Well, all of you many, many fans of XTREMELY UN-P.C. AND UNREPENTANT (Ha!), this is the last from me until after the presidential election; I’m taking all of my “real”, all of my blemishes, my warts, and my inflamed osmanthus and officially checking out of here… that is, unless something really unexpected happens between now and November 4th which I just can’t resist opening my big bazooki about.

Oh, don’t mind me, I talk to myself often. And why not? Dogged if I'm not the only person who listens to me! (It gets lonely in here sometimes.)

If, while you’re in that voting booth on November 4th, you only remember (for once) to Just Say ‘No’ to Communists and Socialists you’ll be OK, and everything will turn out just fine in the ol’ U.S.A.

GOING BY THE BOOK(s)...

The DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL AVERAGE:
(from Wikipedia)

On October 9, 2007, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at the record level of 14,164.53. Roughly on-par with the 2000 record when adjusted for inflation, this represented the final high of the cyclical bull.

On July 2, 2008, with record-high oil and gasoline prices well above $140 per barrel and $4 per gallon, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed in bear market territory. Two weeks later, its subsequent close below the 11,000 mark for the first time since 2006 was followed by a 500-point rally that accompanied a three-day 15% correction in energy prices.

On September 15, 2008, a wider financial crisis became evident when Lehman Brothers filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The DJIA lost more than 500 points for only the sixth time in history, returning to its mid-July lows below the 11,000 level. A series of bailout packages, including the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, proposed and implemented by the Federal Reserve and U.S. Treasury, as well as FDIC-sponsored bank mergers, did not prevent further volatility. September 29 brought a decline of 777.68 points (6.98%), the largest one day point loss, followed on September 30 by a rebound of 485.21 points (4.68%), the third largest one-day point gain in history at the time.

October 2008 brought a rapid acceleration of the bear market, as the DJIA plowed back below the 10,000 level, lost more than 20% in the first seven trading days of the month alone, and set multiple volatility records. A record 800-point intraday tumble occurred on October 6. Although the Dow lost only 128 points on October 10, its intraday range spanned more than 1,000 points for the first time in history.

On "Manic Monday", October 13, the Dow rebounded 936.42 points to nearly double the largest daily point gain in history and record the first gain of more than 10% since 1933. However, these gains were wiped out by the largest percentage loss (7.87%) since 1987 on October 15 and the index experienced another 815-point swing (fourth largest ever) the following day.

On the morning of October 24, the futures market lost 550 points (limit-down) and was locked until the market opened to prevent further panic.

On October 28, after another five-year closing low, the index gained 889 points (10.9%), its second largest in points to date, to close just above 9,000.

LETTER TO A CHRISTIAN FRIEND:

The following e-mail was just sent to me by a dear, female, longtime Christian friend of mine. It was written by someone named Lori Kalner (who is unknown to me) and it appears to have been cut and pasted from some blog or website. My friend likely received it herself from some other friend, and I imagine it’s currently making it’s way around the U.S. Below is an exact copy of what I received. And because it struck me as a plea to vote for John McCain for president, I responded to it, and my reply I have also posted below:

This letter, quoted verbatim, was written by an elderly woman who lived through the Hitler regime.

HYMN TO HITLER

Posted by: Lori Kalner on Wednesday, October 01, 2008

In Germany, when Hitler came to power, it was a time of terrible financial depression. Money was worth nothing. In Germany people lost homes and jobs, just like in the American Depression in the 1930s, which we have read about in Thoene's Shiloh books. In those days, in my homeland, Adolph Hitler was elected to power by promising 'Change.' He blamed the 'Zionists' around the world for all our problems. He told everyone it was greedy Zionist Bankers who had caused every problem we had. He promised when he was leader, the greedy Zionist bankers would be punished. The Zionists, he promised, would be wiped off the face of the earth. So Hitler was elected to power by only 1/3 the popular vote. A coalition of other political parties in parliament made him supreme leader. Then, when he was leader, he disgraced and expelled everyone in parliament who did not go along with him. Yes. Change came to my homeland as the new leader promised it would.

The teachers in German schools began to teach the children to sing songs in praise of Hitler. This was the beginning of the Hitler Youth movement. It began with praise of the Fuhrer's programs on the lips of innocent children. Hymns in praise of Hitler and his programs were being sung in the schoolrooms and in the play yard. Little girls and boys joined hands and sang these songs as they walked home from school.

My brother came home and told Papa what was happening at school. The political hymns of children proclaimed Change was coming to our homeland and the Fuhrer was a leader we could trust. I will never forget my father's face. Grief and fear. He knew that the best propaganda of the Nazis was song on the lips of little children. That evening before he said grace at the dinner table, he placed his hands upon the heads of my brothers and me and prayed the Living Word upon us from Jeremiah 1:4-5. 'Now the Word of the Lord came to me, saying, 'Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to The nations.'

Soon the children's songs praising the Fuhrer were heard everywhere on the streets and over the radio. 'With our Fuhrer to lead us, we can do it! We can change the world!' Soon after that Papa, a pastor, was turned away from visiting elderly parishioners in hospitals. The people he had come to bring comfort of God's Word, were 'no longer there.' Where had they vanished to while under nationalized health care?

It became an open secret. The elderly and sick began to disappear from hospitals feet first as 'mercy killing' became the policy. Children with disabilities and those who had Down syndrome were euthanized. People whispered, 'Maybe it is better for them now. Put them out of misery. They are no longer suffering. And, of course, their death is better for the treasury of our nation. Our taxes no longer must be spent to care for such a burden.' And so murder was called mercy.

The government took over private business. Industry and health care were 'nationalized.' (NA-ZI means National Socialist Party) The businesses of all Jews were seized. (Perhaps you remember our story in Berlin on Krystalnacht in the book Munich Signature)

The world and God's word were turned upside down. Hitler promised the people economic Change?

Not change. It was, rather, Lucifer's very ancient Delusion leading to Destruction. What began with the propaganda of children singing a catchy tune ended in the deaths of millions of children. The reality of what came upon us is so horrible that you in this present generation cannot imagine it. Our suffering is too great to ever tell in a book or show in a black and white newsreel.

When I spoke to Bodie about some of these things, she wept and said she could not bear to write them. Perhaps one day she will, but I asked her, 'who could bear to read our suffering?' Yet with my last breaths I warn every Christian and Jew now in the name of the Lord, Unless your course of the church in America is spiritually changed now, returning to the Lord, there are new horrors yet to come.

I trembled last night when I heard the voices of American children raised in song, praising the name of Obama, the charismatic fellow who claims he is the American Messiah. Yet I have heard what this man Obama says about abortion and the 'mercy killing' of tiny babies who are not wanted.

There are so few of us left to warn you. I have heard that there are 69 million Catholics in America and 70 million Evangelical Christians. Where are your voices? Where is your outrage? Where is passion and your vote? Do you vote based on an abortionist's empty promises and economics? Or do you vote according to the Bible? Thus says the Lord about every living child still in the womb.

'Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.'

I have experienced the signs of the politics of Death in my youth. I see them again now. Christians! Unless you stand up now, you will lose your freedom of religion. In America priests and preachers have already lost their freedom to speak openly from their pulpits of moral danger in political candidates. They cannot legally instruct you of which candidate holds fast to the precepts of scripture! American law forbids this freedom of speech to conservative pastors or they will lose their 'tax exempt' status. And yet I have heard the words of Obama's pastor Damning America! I have heard the words of Obama damning and mocking all of you in small towns because you 'Cling to your religion.' But I am a woman whose name is unknown. My life is recorded as a work of fiction. I have no fear of reprisal when I speak truth to you from the pages of a book. (Though the Zion Covenant books are mocked and condemned by the Left in America.)

I am an old woman and will soon go to be with my Lord. I have no fear for myself, but for all of you and for your children, I tremble. I tremble at the hymns to a political leaders which your children will sing at school. (Though even now a hymn or a prayer to God and our Lord Jesus is against the law in public school!)

Your vote must put a stop to what will come upon America if Barrack Obama is elected. I pray you will personally heed this warning for the sake of your children and your grandchildren. Do not be deceived. The Lord in Jeremiah 1:7-8 commands every believer to speak up!

'Do not say, 'I am only a youth,' for to all whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them for I am with you, declares the Lord!'

I am in Prayer for you, and for the Church! Spoken to you in the authority of Jesus the Christ, the Name Above All Names.

Lori Kalner

As I said, I have no idea who Lori Kalner is - that is NOT the name of my dear, Christian friend. Although I do indeed share the writer’s – and my friend’s - concerns, (with just a couple of minor edits made) here is the reply that I sent to my lovely friend. I realize that many folks (particularly of the female variety) will loathe my response, but if one thinks I am worried about a negative reaction, he or she needs to reread the title of this Blog and… BELIEVE IT:

I would NEVER vote for a Council on Foreign Relations member (and John McCain IS a member). That is, an organization founded by a man who claimed he essentially believed in "Socialism as dreamed of by Karl Marx." [Page 35; "Philip Dru: Administrator" by Edward Mandell House.]

At his core, McCain is just as much a socialist as is Barack Obama, only he can't say so or he'll lose Republican votes. This article does much to expose him:

Link:

"McCain: Maverick?"

Furthermore, any Christian who takes very seriously The Bible's position on the proper civil order, cannot vote to place a woman in a position of federal authority. It's

un-Biblical. But too many Christians seem too willing to toss out the Words and Ideas of The Bible when they become inconvenient. McCain is only USING Sarah Palin to get what he wants; that should be obvious to EVERYONE. And she is willing to be used in order to climb higher in her political career. I respect neither one of them.

Link to an article supporting the above Biblical statement:

"Should Christians Support a Woman for the Office of Civil Magistrate?"

In truth, John McCain and Barack Obama are both
un-American (they're globalists!) and very much inclined to do evil... and I never vote FOR evil.

I will write in CONGRESSMAN RON PAUL's name, just like I stated on my Blog ("Only The Yo-Yos")
and then I'll let the chips fall where they may. I will NEVER vote for "the lesser of two evils" simply because I fear others are inclined to vote for "the greater of two evils."

ONLY THE YO-YOS

These days the stock market moves up and down like a john on a prostitute. You’d have to be a real yo-yo to put or leave your money in that bouncing, babbling behemoth.

A week or two ago, I used an analogy while speaking to a gentleman where I work. I likened the stock market to a skyscraper that’s swaying from side to side. I asked him, “Would you even think about entering a tall building that’s rocking back and forth and appearing for all the world to see that it’s on the verge of toppling over at any moment? Would you walk into something that unstable? I think not! Well, the stock market is just like that building; it’s ready to fall over.”

When we see the stock market making huge, nonsensical and ridiculously quick mood swings like a woman suffering from PMS, it’s time to holler, “Get out and stand back!” because that baby is just looking for a place to land. We now see the market making 400 point swings in just a matter of hours; it can be 200 points up at 9 A.M. and then be 200 points down two hours later at 11:00. Oh yeah, that’s a real safe place for your money!

Evidently my imagery made an impression on my friend at work because he told me yesterday that he’s repeated it to several friends and coworkers in recent discussions. Well, think about it: if you were a flea on a dog, would you choose to live on its wildly wagging tail? Or would you choose a safer location?

In the building where I work, there used to be a capital management company leasing one of the suites. That company went through employees like I used to go through beer. Every week there was some new young gun guy or young gun gal coming to work for them, undoubtedly with a fresh degree in Keynesian economic theory tucked under their arm from some socialistic university (where they'll teach anything but honest, free enterprise Capitalism). Each new employee would eventually approach me and inquire as to whether or not I’d like to meet with them and get some advice on retirement investments. The new employee had no way of knowing that I’d previously said to all of his or her predecessors, “Thanks, but no thanks.” Then they’d always start trying to pressure me about what sort of plans I’d made for my economic future. I told them all the same thing: “If I were you, I’d forget about stocks and bonds and invest in gold. Some silver, too.” Naturally, these bright, young college-educated guys and gals would laugh at me and scoff.

Well, that was in the very late ‘90s and very early Aughts. Gold was probably selling in the neighborhood of about $250. an ounce at that time. Today it’s in the neighborhood of $800. an ounce. And that’s despite years of behind-the-scenes manipulation and a deliberate suppression of the price of gold. Meanwhile, most of those stocks those kids were trying to sell me are probably lining bird cages.
Tweet! Tweet! Ain’t she sweet?

I sometimes think about those young dudes and dudettes and wonder if they remember me and what I told them. I can’t ask them because they’re all gone now – the company loaded up all of its furniture one weekend and skipped out on its building lease about five years ago. That’s how ethical, smart and sound your capital management advisors are. There’s something to be said for doing business with people who are not moved by greed and then forced to move in the dark of night.

Solely by the Grace of God, I was directed to read and listen to men with greater honesty, understanding and integrity than could be found at that long gone capital management company. Many years ago I knew of the financial woes that were coming to this country because “The Father” was sending me to the right places for information and I was listening to Him. I credit God and I thank Him for caring for an idiot like me!

One of the many various sources of information that I came across and took very seriously back then was a forty minute 1993 documentary produced by Jeremiah Films titled “THE CRA$H: The Coming Financial Collapse Of America.”
I bought that VHS tape about ten years ago and subsequently watched it many times. It foretold what we are seeing today, and believe me (this time!) folks, we ain’t seen nuttin’ yet! It’s going to get a whole lot worse. Oh, yes it is!

A number of knowledgeable individuals are interviewed in the documentary and here is just a very brief sampling of some of the 1993 statements found therein:

“We face the possibility of a depression that could make the depression of 1929 look like a mild recession by comparison.”
~ Mark Ritchie; Commodity Trading Advisor and Author

“If the United States Government continues to spend more than it’s taking in, we’re headed for economic collapse.”
~ Ed Meese; former U.S. Attorney General

“Washington is irrevocably out of control. Congress has to find ways to pay its bills, and the only cash it’s got available is YOURS.”
~ Chuck Missler; Executive and author

“We’re going to have an economic collapse … God is doing everything spiritually possible to awaken His people.”
~ Larry Burkett; Economist, Author

One of the most intriguing quotes is this:

“There are forces in this country that keep our entire society off balance with the huge budget deficit that is paramount in this country today. While we hear senators and congressmen talk about wanting to solve the budget problem, I don’t think they really want to in earnest. … Twenty years we’ve been fighting this battle over the budget and somehow or another, out of all the brains, out of all the legal minds in this country, out of all of the people that are running around supposedly the brightest and the best in Washington D.C., it cannot be solved? No, sir, somebody doesn’t want it solved.”
~ Emanuel McLittle; publisher, Destiny magazine

That statement probably goes a lot deeper and points to a far greater truth than most people could possibly even imagine, but I’ll leave that unsaid for now because most Americans really “can’t handle the truth.”

While the stock market hasn’t nearly reached the bottom yet, neither do I believe that gold has yet reached anywhere near it’s top value. The economists and analysts that I’ve been reading for more than a decade have predicted that it can be realistically expected that gold will eventually be selling for anywhere from two thousand to five thousand dollars an ounce. I don’t think that anyone should take the position that it’s too late to invest in REAL money. (Let’s just hope that the government doesn’t try to return to confiscating the peoples’ gold like that socialist scoundrel Franklin Roosevelt did. They’ll have to pry it from my cold, dead hands, along with my “second amendment right.”)

A few of those men interviewed for the documentary “THE CRA$H” point to our economic problems in this country as a spiritual and moral problem. I couldn’t agree more! Greed is based on a faulty spiritual understanding and moral problems are the result of a crumbling or nonexistent spiritual foundation.

Even The Holy Bible warns in Proverbs 22:7 that “The borrower is servant to the lender.” Well, with America borrowing money from China and the Federal Reserve Bank, it’s Biblically clear that America is destined to become the slave to some very nasty, un-American forces in the near future. And we’ll have no one to blame but ourselves.

But morality and spirituality aside, the single biggest problem with our economic situation today is the un-Constitutional, economic law-denying, private Federal Reserve System. And neither man running for president as the Republican and Democrat party nominee in 2008 has any intention of doing a damn thing about the Federal Reserve.

I realize that a large percentage of people who consider themselves “conservative” are going to hold their nose and vote for John “Lesser Of Two Evils” McCain. I’ll agree that Dumb-O-Crat Obama-Rama-Lama-Ding-Dong IS the greater evil, but only marginally so. Both will grant amnesty to the illegal immigrants in this country; both basically believe in Marxism, only their terminology differs: whereas Obama might prefer a slick term like Social Egalitarianism, McCain just thinks of it as a Council On Foreign Relations goal – and he’s a Council member; Obama strongly supports abortion, while McCain doesn’t much care about the fate of the unborn either way – he’ll do and say whatever’s politically expedient at any given moment; neither Obama-Rama-Lama-Ding-Dong or John “Lesser Of Two Evils” McCain will raise a serious word or raise a hand against the Federal Reserve – the un-Constitutional, private banking consortium that literally controls the destiny of this nation and the economic situation of its people.

Wonder why you’ve never heard Limboob, O’Really? or Sean “You’re a bad American” Hannity talk about this most important issue? Well, yes, you SHOULD wonder about that! And beware of what lurks in the dark recesses of the Neoconservative movement; a socialist by any other name stinks just as bad.

Only CONGRESSMAN RON PAUL, however, has made it clear that as president, one of his principal goals would be seeking the dissolution of the private Federal Reserve System, uncoupling it from our official economic life.

Well, I don’t want to see Nimrod Obama in the White House either, but why should I have to compromise MY vote and sacrifice it in an attempt to counteract the vote of some unintelligent and uninformed Liberal in my state of Airheadzona? Pure and simple: why should I be influenced to vote for John McCain, a man I don’t like and whom I KNOW would be a bad American president, just because the majority of the ignorant electorate is inclined to vote for the greater of two evils? Now that’s what I call “wasting MY vote.” As I wrote to a friend of mine recently about the sad state of this country:

“A long series of compromises has brought us to this point, and McCain is just one more phony-Conservative Compromise.”

If We The People are going to elect Barack Obama for president, then I say, the country be hanged; it’ll get what it deserves.

Well, I won’t do it! I won’t give my vote to John McCain, or, as Elmer Fudd might call him: “A wascally wibuwul in Wepubwican cwothing.” And just yesterday I heard a small bit of Sarah Palin’s speech in Ohio but was forced to turn it off before long because I just couldn’t stand any more of that grating, high-pitched, moose-killing voice of hers. The one silver lining in an Obama presidency is that we won’t have to listen to anymore of Palin’s annoying Rah!-Rah! Cheerleader Speeches. Gah!!! Can you imagine being married to her and having to listen to that voice every day and night? “Did you eat all of your moose and vegetables, Honey? Oh, GOOD! I’m SO proud of YOU!” Just serve me 30 tablets of Ambien for dessert, Sarah Darling.

In that 1993 documentary, “THE CRA$H”, then Congressman Bill Dannemeyer makes the statement, “It’s time for a second American revolution at the ballot box.”

Let me remind you that nowhere in the U.S. Constitution does it say that only the nominees from the two major political parties are eligible for presidential election. In fact, a number of America’s “Founding Fathers” hated the idea of political parties and spoke out forcefully against them. In other words, theoretically speaking, Congressman Ron Paul could STILL be elected president if enough conscientious voters wrote his name on their ballot on November 4th. That’s what I’m going to do. Ron Paul may not have gotten the Republican nomination (thanks a lot, you dumb Wepubwicans!) but that doesn’t mean he’s now disqualified from being elected to the White House. Obviously, he’s not going to be, but it won’t be for a lack of effort to get him there on my part. (And when the “fhit hits the san” later, the old “RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT 2008” bumper sticker still clinging to my old truck will proclaim to the world: “Well, it weren’t THAT dude’s fault!”)

Below is a link to numerous articles on a wide range of topics which RON PAUL has contributed to the Lew Rockwell website over many years. Why not read some of these writings and see if you don’t find that you agree with Congressman Paul’s position on these issues more often than you agree with Obama-Rama-Lama-Ding-Dong or John “Lesser Of Two Evils” McSame. And afterwards, maybe you ought to consider writing in Ron Paul’s name on your ballot. And then consider liquidating your investment portfolios and acquiring precious metals instead, in order to protect your retirement funds from financial collapse and inflation. Broke, Hungry, Regretful, and Kicking Yerself is no way to live in the future.

But in the meantime, while you’re reading these forthright and revealing RON PAUL articles, I’m going to practice over and over again writing his name so it looks nice and legible on my November 4th ballot. Remember: Just Say No to hanging “Chads” and sloppy “Pauls.”

RIDE THAT FUNKY DONKEY, MESSIAH MAN!

Hokey-Smoke! Can you believe it? One of our own – a Blogger right here at this website, Blogspot.com – has been mentioned in an article published by The New American magazine.

The article titled “OBAMA: MESSIAH?” by Gregory A. Hession mentions this particular Blog in its third paragraph:

http://obamamessiah.blogspot.com/

The site is a collection of all kinds of outrageous comments uttered and articles published attempting to imply that presidential hopeful Barack Obama is not just a normal dude, but something of a spiritually enlightened savior.

I’m not quite sure if the Blogger is really buying into this concept or if he (she?) has his tongue firmly planted in his cheek, and I just don’t have enough time to really examine the site carefully enough to make a determination.

I’m just wondering what I’d have to do to get some valuable, free publicity for my own Blogs like Obamamaniac has from The New American magazine. I suppose I’d have to post a bunch of outright idiocy. You know, like, outright idiocy? (Retarded Repugnantcan Rubbish and Unadulterated Dumb-O-Crat Dipsh#tism.) The problem is that this Blog has raised the bar so high that I don’t think I could dream up such idiocy even in the F.L.C. (Full Liquidated Condition).

Well, I guess my poor Blogs will just have to stumble along in relative obscurity until I’m accidentally whacked in the head by a roofing hammer and have suffered sufficient brain damage to compete with some of the stuffs found at this Obamamessiah site.

Meanwhile, however, I read some of the brief quotes found there and really enjoyed them immensely. Following are some of the remarks that really tickled me and inspired responses from Yours Truly. Hard to believe people have actually said these things, but ya know, there’s just no overestimating the stupidity of a Liberal:

“He [Barack] communicates God-like energy…”
~ Steve Davis (Charleston, SC)

Yeah, Steve. And best of all… God energy is GREEN energy!

“A quantum leap in American consciousness.”
~ Deepak Chopra

Nah, not really, Deepak. It’s called Marxism and it’s been around for awhile. You really ought to get out more often.

Film director Spike Lee predicted Obama would be elected in November.
“When that happens, it will change everything. … You’ll have to measure time by ‘Before Obama’ and ‘After Obama.’ ”
~ Spike Lee

Yo! Lee, “Do The Right Thing” and find out who SPIKED your Kool-Aid.

“I’ll do whatever he says to do. I’ll collect paper cups off the ground to make his pathway clear.”
~ Halle Berry

Halle, will you even do "The Lewinsky" in the Oval Office?

“This is bigger than Kennedy… This is the New Testament. I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don’t have that too often. No, seriously. It’s a dramatic event.”
~ Chris Matthews

Maybe so, Chris, but is it BIGGER THAN THE BEATLES?!

“We just like to say his name. We are considering taking it as a mantra.”
~ The Chicago Sun-Times

Me, I prefer something more American-sounding.
What’s wrong with “OOOO-saaaama! OOOO-saaaama! OOOO-saaaama!” Oooh! I think I can feel Chris Matthews’ hand groping up my leg!

“Not just an ordinary human being but indeed an Advanced Soul.”
~ Commentator at Chicago Sun-Times.

Yeah, not just an ordinary human being but an OOOOOOrdinary Human Being.

“What Barack Obama has accomplished is the single most extraordinary event that has occurred in the 232 years of the nation’s political history.”
~ Jesse Jackson, Jr.

Well, get on down with yo bad self, J-Dogg!
Right on, Bro! Right on!

Who’s the Black private dick that’s a sex machine to all the chicks?
[BARACK!]
Ya damn right!
Who is the man that would risk his neck for his brotherman?
[BARACK!]
Can ya dig it?
Who’s the cat that won’t cop out when there’s danger all about?
[BARACK!]
Right on!
They say this cat Barack is a bad mutha—
[SHUT YO MOUTH!]
I’m talkin’ ‘bout Barack!
[THEN WE CAN DIG IT!]
He’s a complicated man but no one understands him but Michelle.
[BARACK OBAMA!]

“We’re here to evolve to a higher plane… he is an evolved leader… [he] has an ear for eloquence and a tongue dipped in the Unvarnished Truth.”
~ Oprah Winfrey

Awww, stay off of airplanes, Michelle! I think the Queen of Daytime Doo-Doo has the idea to become OOOOOO-praaaaaah OOOOOO-baaaaaama. She’s after yo man, Girl!

“Barack Obama is our collective representation of our purest hopes, our highest visions and our deepest knowings… He’s our product out of the all-knowing quantum field of intelligence.”
~ Eve Konstantine

Oh, I have no doubt that you’re enjoying your HIGHEST visions, Eve, but you really oughtn’t use that word “intelligence” until you’re in possession of some.

“Obama’s finest speeches do not excite…”
Tell that to Chris Matthews!
“They do not inform.”
No argument there!
“They don’t even really inspire.”
You’re hot now, Buddy!
“They elevate… He is not the Word made flesh, but the triumph of word over flesh… Obama is, at his best, able to call us back to our highest selves.”
~ Ezra Klein

Our HIGHEST selves, eh? So, you party with Eve often, Ezra?

“[Obama is] creative imagination which coupled with brilliance equals wisdom… [He is] the man for this time.”
~ Toni Morrison

Sure, Toni! And that’s why he’s destined to become America’s second Black president.

“This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.”
~ Barack Obama

Nah, Barack, that’s just you getting all hot and bothered because Chris Matthews is feeling up your leg.

“I would characterize the Senate race as being a race where Obama was, let’s say, blessed and highly favored. That’s not routine. There’s something else going on. I think that Obama, his election to the Senate, was divinely ordered… I know that that was God’s plan.”
~ Bill Rush

You raise up your head and you ask, “Is this where it is?” And somebody points to you and says, “It’s his!” And you say, “What’s mine?” and somebody else says, “Where what is?” And you say, “Oh, my God, am I here all alone?”
And something is happening here
But you don’t know what it is
Do you... Mister Bill?

I got news for ya, Bill Rush, if God somehow developed amnesia and forgot that He authored the Sixth Commandment [“You shall not murder”] then it is possible that God ordered the ascension of Barack Obama. Otherwise, it’s not too likely. Unless of course, Barack is actually the anti— Nah, never mind; I’m not even going to go there.

My only question now is this: After he’s elected president, how is Barack Obama supposed to ride an ass to the White House when Barack IS the ass?

Well, anyway, before you punch out the chad on November 4th for your new messiah, you'd be wise to first make sure that you’ve fully read the New American magazine’s article “OBAMA: MESSIAH?” You might learn something you should know about The Marxist Messiah before sending his “ass” to the White House.

GET WITH THE SHOW OR GET OUT!

In my post of the other day related to the economic crash, housing bubble burst, and the Wall Street Bailout, I mentioned that Congressman RON PAUL “foretold all that we are experiencing!”

In the article titled “Government Bailout” written by Brian Farmer for The New American magazine, Congressman Paul is quoted speaking downright prophetically in a 2005 address delivered before the House of Representatives in response to the proposed “Federal Housing Finance Reform Act.” If you wish to see a perfect example of what I was referring to in regards to Congressman Paul’s foresight in these economic matters pertaining to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, be sure you read this informative piece. It will also provide you with a simple but good history lesson on how un-Constitutional government intervention in financial matters bring about these terrible Boom-Bust periods that Americans are forced to endure time and time again. Get informed – READ! (Use the link I’ve included below.)

Being a medical doctor, Congressman Paul came up with the ideal analogy for the recent “Rescue Plan” passed on behalf of Fannie and Freddie. This is excerpted from the article referenced above:

In a knee-jerk response to the crisis, Congress swung into action. On July 23 the massive American Housing Rescue and Foreclosure Prevention Act of 2008 was approved in the House of Representatives by a vote of 272 to 152. Three days later it sailed through the Senate by a margin of 72 to 13, and on July 30 it was signed into law by the president. A close reading of the bill does not inspire confidence. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the total cost of the bailout will be $25 billion. However, the bill raises the federal debt limit by a whopping $800 billion, indicating that the final cost is likely to be much higher.

Once again, Rep. Ron Paul has offered the best commentary on the situation:

"Some mistakenly identify the falling home prices as the disease instead of merely a symptom — which they plan to fix with more easy credit and more liquidity to push more unqualified buyers back into the market for homes they still cannot afford. This is akin to the drug addict identifying withdrawal symptoms as his problem and searching for another fix as his solution. The cycle continues and the problems compound themselves. The addiction deepens.

"Addicts are told the first step to recovery is to admit their problem. To cure this addiction to intervention we have to honestly admit the problem and once and for all, kick the habit. That will involve some pain, without a doubt. There is no easy, painless solution to the mess the disastrous economic interventions of the past have wrought. The question is — do we allow some lending institutions to collapse, or do we allow the dollar to collapse? To extend the metaphor, do we endure the temporary discomfort of withdrawal, or do we continue on until there is a fatal overdose? We can delay the agony, but only for a little while, and then we will all end up paying the price for the mistakes of a few.

"With the final passage of the Housing Bailout Bill quietly on a Saturday in the Senate, and the President's signature, our government has unfortunately chosen the latter."

And to think that the Knucklehead Republicans had a chance to nominate this man, Ron Paul, as their presidential candidate but passed on it in favor of Old Man John McSame and Sarah What’s-Her-Name! The Democrats we can’t expect any displays of knowledge and intelligence from, but supposedly (so-called!) “conservative”, limited-government Republicans should have known better. But they never do!

Listen, People!
It is up to us to teach our Old Dog Government new tricks. And if the Damned Old Dog just can’t learn them, then it must be kicked out of the Show and into the Street!
