THE TRUTH ABOUT TRUTH:

All truth passes through three stages.
First, it is ridiculed.
Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

THE SAME INSUFFERABLE ARROGANCE AND INSANE EGOTISM IN ANY LANGUAGE

.
.
Following are some excerpted passages from the book THE NAKED COMMUNIST by W. Cleon Skousen (1958)...
.
Carl Schurz, who actually met Karl Marx, wrote the following about him:
.
"Never have I seen any one whose manner was more insufferably arrogant. He would not give me a moment's consideration to any opinion that differed from his own. He treated with open contempt everyone who contradicted him. ... Far from winning new adherents, he repelled many who might have been inclined to support him."
.
Nine or ten pages later, there's this...
.
Karl Marx projected into Communism the very essence of his own nature. His resentment of political authority expressed itself in a ringing cry for universal revolution. ...
.
His personal attitude toward religion, morals and competition in everyday existence led him to long for an age when men would have no religion, morals or competition in everyday existence. He wanted to live in a classless, stateless, noncompetitive society where there would be such lavish production of everything that men, by simply producing according to their apparent ability, would automatically receive a superabundance of all material needs.
.
Mikhail Bakunin, who also knew Karl Marx personally, observed that...
.
"Marx is egotistical to the pitch of insanity... Marx loved his own person much more than he loved his friends and apostles, and no friendship could hold water against the slightest wound to his vanity... Marx will never forgive a slight to his person. You must worship him, make an idol of him, if he is to love you in return; you must at least fear him if he is to tolerate you. He likes to surround himself with pygmies, with lackeys and flatterers."
.
I'll be dogged if that doesn't remind me of someone. Does that remind YOU of anyone you're familiar with? A certain blogger perhaps?

You mean, as in... an Easter egg?

Would it be the post for the letter "E" perhaps? Or is that just what you WANT me to think?

  6. My brother,
I finally read and finished this book last year. I remember your original review on amazon. It was quite an educational read, but what amazed me the most was how Marx persona infected his social doctrines (which is what communism really is).

However, it was this book and Wurmbrand's 'Marx and Satan ' that really ignited my understanding. Wurmbrand really pointed out that Marx appearance was like those of a local satanic sect of his time. Furthermore, his own writings showed that he wished to take as many to hell with him.

But what amazed me further was his legacy. Over 100 million dead. Communist Russia had a secret society called the organization, and an offshoot of that called hell (Wurmbrand, 1988).

This led Wurmbrand to view communism as a front group for the occult. He does a marvelous job of presenting his belief with facts without overstepping boundaries into conjecture.

    1. BR'ER MARC, sorry I'm so late in replying to your comment. Been a bit busier than I like to be these last couple days.

Yes, it's a common misconception that Marx was an atheist. He tried to present himself that way at times, but there's enough in some of his lesser known writings to indicate that Marx knew God existed and he was consciously attempting to oppose Him.

I wrote a review of the Wurmbrand book, 'WAS KARL MARX A SATANIST?' and eventually I will publish that old review on my new 'Stephen T. McCarthy Reviews...' blog.

Thanks for keeping in touch and checking in on my ongoing blogging activities. (Reports of my death have been exaggerated:o)
