I first saw this maybe 4 Easters ago; it was shown at my Sister's church (which at that time had rented the Jobing.com arena in Glendale, Airheadzona, for their Easter Sunday service).
So yesterday, Brother Nappy and I went with my Sister's family to their church service, and although this video was not shown, I mentioned it several times during the day because I was reminded of it and of how much I had liked it.
So, just before the Easter dinner was served, my Sister and I went to her computer to see if by chance the video was available at YouTube. Sure enough! So I decided that sometime after I returned to my own home I would post it on this blog.
I still dig it. Glad y'all do too.

I like the video. Although, at one point I heard a theory (read some years ago) that establishes his resurrection on Saturday. Now this was not an 7 day adventist who wrote this. It had some really good points and I wish I still had it. In the end I don't think the day matters as much as the concept that "he is risen," and has defeated death and sin, and has cemented the path of salvation. The advesary that old serpent is defeated, and can only enjoy his LAST days on this earth. For as Genesis said, and as history has proven true. The serpent bruised our saviors heal, but The Devil's blow will be fatal across the head.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I too have read a number of various theories over the years, each one supposedly proving that not Sunday but "this" or "that" day is the true one on which Christ arose from the dead.
So far, none of the theories I've encountered has convinced me that it was any other day but a Sunday. The Bible itself seems to say this to me, and one has to introduce a number of twists and turns in order to contradict the traditionally accepted day.
I find that once in a blue moon, the "orthodox" position on something is the correct one, and that seems to be the case here - although I would certainly be open to being convinced otherwise if the evidence can support an alternative view. So far, it hasn't, to my mind.
But in the end, I agree with you: the day on which Christ arose is not anywhere near as important as the fact that He DID arise! (I question why some people get so worked-up over trivial points like this.)
